Directions and parking
Find us inside Community Hospital in Monterey. Park in the garage or take advantage of free valet parking.

Finding our department
When you arrive, enter through the hospital’s main entrance.
If you’re receiving outpatient (daytime) care or visiting a patient staying at the hospital, check in at the reception desk. You’ll receive directions to our department.
Use the main lobby elevator to go downstairs to the garden level, where you’ll find the Respiratory Care department. Our Pulmonary Function Laboratory is inside the Tyler Heart Institute, also on the garden level.

24-hour inpatient care
Benefit from 24-hour monitoring and care if you’re hospitalized for a respiratory concern. Our team has advanced training to care for critically or seriously ill patients who need specialized respiratory support to breathe.
Outpatient (daytime) appointments
Outpatient means you visit us for your test, treatment, or check-up and go home afterward.
Pulmonary function tests
Pulmonary function testing checks how well your lungs work through a series of tests. You may receive pulmonary function testing during an inpatient or outpatient visit.

We’re teaching the next generation of pulmonary experts. The Respiratory Care department is the clinical affiliate for the respiratory care programs at Foothill College and Hartnell College.
