Welcome to Ohana
When you reach out to Ohana, you become part of our family, our ohana. For children and teens, that means we promise compassion, understanding, and acceptance. We’ll give you hope, teach you resilience, and celebrate all of your victories — big and small. For parents, we’ll give you a chance to take a breath, and then we’ll provide the tools to help you, your child, and your family thrive.
Don't Worry Alone. Call Ohana.
Rest assured, we are here to help guide you on your journey to mental wellness. Just give us a call, and our administrative team will quickly gather all the necessary information to get you started. We’ll then schedule a phone call with an Ohana-trained family care manager. This initial resource is available to all who reach out to us, regardless of insurance coverage.
What Happens on the Family Care Phone Call?
After your first call, a compassionate family care manager will then give you a call to learn more about your concerns and the challenges your child is facing. The Ohana team will use this information to identify the best next steps.
After the call, you’ll receive:
- Guidance on the most effective strategies for your family
- A new patient packet (if applicable) with forms, policies, and information about our services
- Educational resources for families just like yours
- Information about helpful local programs, including crisis resources
Next Up: Evaluation
Once we receive your completed patient packet, we’ll give you a call and schedule these two appointments:
- Diagnostic evaluation
- Follow-up visit, where we’ll discuss treatment options (if appropriate) for your family
If you have questions or need help before these appointments, please reach out to your dedicated family care manager, who is there to provide support every step of the way.
What Is a Diagnostic Evaluation?
Your family will meet with someone called an Ohana evaluation specialist. The meeting will last 1.5 to 2 hours. Before this appointment, we’ll ask you to provide information that will help us start to get to know your child and your family. During the meeting with the specialist, we’ll learn even more about your family so we can make an accurate clinical diagnosis and, together, begin exploring possible treatments and programs.
If your family needs care right away, we’ll make sure you receive it.
Follow-up Appointment
In most cases, you’ll have a follow-up appointment the next week to talk in-depth about recommended programs and therapy for your family.
